An It-Place of the city – and that not only because of the great view from the restaurant terrace. Once a noble family lived in this stately building, today the charmingly weathered historical splendour meets vintage furniture, film posters from the sixties, oil ham hanging on faded wallpaper and wooden giraffes leaning against the wall.If you want to sit outside, you should make a reservation, as there is something going on here every evening, guests crowd around the long tables and if it gets a little colder in the evening, heating mushrooms provide the necessary warmth. The menu is as imaginative as the equipment. Raisin bread is served with olive oil, the tuna steak with morels, pak choi and sweet soy sauce and if you want vegetarian food, the couscous with beetroot, rocket, mungobahnen and coriander pesto is a good choice. The portions are not the biggest, the wine list is selected and there are numerous cocktails to enjoy at sunset. The lower floors also house the hostel and hotel The Independente and the ground floor the restaurant The Decadente.
